Much known actors who shot to fame by their unique roles eventually decided to move out of the shows for greener pastures, better concepts and not willing to play the role post leaps. The shows which made them a household name could not keep them bonded during the long journey. But their quitting has really got the shows in news. Karan Mehra has recently quitted his work in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Since his leaving, the show has been in constant news, as viewers want to know what made Karan leave the show, how his character will be shown the exit, will any new actor replace him in Naitik’s character, or will they see their favorite Hina Khan aka Akshara as a widow. The rumors were around about Karan’s re-entry back in the show, which is not certain.
Even And Tv’s superhit comedy show Bhabhi ji Ghar Par Hai’s lead actress Shilpa Shinde has quit the show and was in news for long time over her tiff with the producers. The actress was replaced by Shubhangi Atre, who is doing well justice with Bhabhi ji’s role. Shilpa has earned big name by this character, but did not change her decision to get back to the show.
After Siddhant Karnick left the show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, even the lead actress Drashti Dhami walked out. The actors have shot some of the most beautiful romance scenes representing the old era, and were much loved for their chemistry. The show was getting a leap with Rana ji’s character dying. Drashti was not keen to play the widow and elderly role of a mother to young cast. Siddhant and Drashti’s exit dropped the show’s ratings to some extent.
Eisha Singh made her debut with Color’s Ishq Ka Rang Safed. She was the soul of the show and her young widow character Dhaani won many hearts by the innocent appeal. Eisha quitted the show for not wanting to play elderly role, and moved on to grab the lead role in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani in Gayatri’s daughter’s role.
Another actor, Siddhant Gupta got an instant huge fan following with his role of Kunj in Tashan E Ishq, which airs on Zee Tv. The show gave him name and fame, and even then Siddhant could not continue his portrayal to move on to other opportunities. The character was Kunj was given a new face, and actor Naman Shaw stepped in Siddhant’s place.
The viewers watch the show since the very start and feel the character was written just for the actor, who plays the role since the beginning. When there is replacement of that actor, the show’s charm begins to dip. The fans also get disheartened and lessen watching the show after their favorite actor quits. Viewers then expect to see them in another show with a fresh role and look, but often remember them for the role they have lived for years. Shilpa’s Bhabhi ji accent and look is still admired by many, and similarly Karan is still awaited by Yeh Rishta fans. Such is the power of stardom and admiration, but the show must go on.
