Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made headlines earlier this year when he slammed his male co-stars in Fast 8 in an Instagram post. “Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses,” he wrote in a rant that was presumed to be largely directed at Vin Diesel.
In a recent interview to Los Angeles Times, Dwayne stood by his earlier criticism. “I was very clear with what I said. I’ve been in the game a long time,” the People’s Sexiest Man Alive said. “Would Universal [Pictures] have preferred that didn’t happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level,” he added.
Dwayne Johnson will next be seen in the Baywatch film with Priyanka Chopra, while Vin Diesel is gearing up for his January release with Deepika Padukone, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage
